Presenter:  Rabbi Zev Shandalov

Rav Zev will speak on the topic of “If I Forget thee O Jerusalem” in advance of Rosh Chodesh Menachem Av. In addition, and in preparation for the months of Elul and Tishri, he will introduce his book “The Three Images, True Stories and Lessons for Introspection.” The book will also be available for purchase after the event.

Rabbi Shandalov is a native Chicagoan where he spent most of his life, until making Aliya in 2009 with his wife and three daughters. He graduated with a degree in business from Northeastern Illinois University and received both his Semicha and his B.H.L. (Bachelor of Hebrew Literature) from the Hebrew Theological College. After spending 17 years in business in the field of Purchasing, he became Rabbi of Congregation Kehilath Jacob Beth Samuel in Chicago.  Rabbi Shandalov has taught in Hillel Torah North Suburban Day School and at Ida Crown Jewish Academy.  Rabbi Shandalov currently teaches at AMIT Boys in Maale Adumim, serves as a Rav in the community giving lectures and shiurim and teaches students privately. He has published three books, is married to Andy, and has three daughters, two sons-in-law, and two granddaughters.
