Jerusalem Nature Experience

Join AACI and the Society for the Protection of Nature in Israel for guided tours of the Jerusalem Bird Observatory (JBO) that includes bird watching and bird banding and presentations about bird migration in Israel and Gazelle Valley Jerusalem, Israel’s largest urban nature park with ponds, paths and benches, with a resident gazelle population and rich bird life.  The tour will also include a meeting and talk with Amanda Lind, field director of Gazelle Valley Jerusalem.

Meet at 9:00 a.m. at JBO  9:00 – 10:45 Guided tour at the Jerusalem Bird Observatory (JBO), located directly next to the Knesset on Rothschild Street, past the main entrance, between the Rose Garden and Sacher Park.

(Transportation in private cars paid parking in the lot at the end of the road. By bus (7, 9, 14, 32, 35, 66, 100, 113, 121, 122).  Continue on foot to the checkpoint of the Knesset then to the left.  Any questions?  Call the JBO office 02-653-7374)

10:45 – 11:00 travel to Gazelle Valley, on the edge of the Givat Mordechai neighborhood, opposite the Patt Intersection (transportation in private cars or bus).

11:00 –13:00 Guided tour at Gazelle Valley

Bring a packed lunch and enjoy a picnic following the tour.
